About Mansfield Country Street Smart Growth Study

This County Street 40R Smart Growth Overlay District Feasibility and Planning Study is a planning-level feasibility study of a Chapter 40R Smart Growth Overlay District on roughly 5 acres of Town-owned land at 35 County Street, part of the former Hatheway and Patterson facility.

Chapter 40R lets a municipality adopt a smart growth overlay district in an eligible location, allowing higher-density housing as-of-right through plan approval rather than a special permit.
